Best Electric SUVs of 2023

As the popularity of both electric vehicles and SUVs continues to grow, more and more automakers are releasing electric SUVs. This is very sensible from a commercial and practical standpoint because electric and crossover cars can more readily fit batteries due to their increased height and enlarged dimensions.

Due to the present high demand for both electric vehicles and SUVs, these vehicles are currently the most sought-after models overall.

The greatest models are both practical and elegant, as well as enjoyable to drive and inexpensive to maintain, so it's not just about style. But which electric SUV models are we specifically referring to? Here is a list of the best electric SUVs in 2023.

1. Jaguar i-Pace

One of our favorites, the Jaguar i-Pace is a stylish premium electric SUV. The first electric vehicle from the British company drives, stops, and steers just like a Jaguar should. There is also plenty of space thanks to a flat floor and effective packaging. The electric Jaguar I-Pace SUV can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds thanks to twin motors that produce a potent 395 horsepower and 513 pound-feet of torque. However, Jaguar claims that if you don't use that punch, you can have the battery give you 298 miles. In our experience, you'll be lucky to get 200 miles per charge, but for many drivers, that's more than enough.

2. Tesla model Y

The newest SUV type from the electric car company that fundamentally altered the automotive industry is the Tesla Y Model. Although the Tesla Model Y, which is just a raised-up version of the Model 3, isn't as groundbreaking or attention-grabbing as some of the company's other vehicles, there is no clearer way to proclaim your love for electric vehicles to the world than in a tiny SUV packaging. The Model Y, like other Teslas, controls a range of up to 331 miles incredibly well and features a stylish, contemporary interior with continually improving build quality.

3. Genesis GV60

Hyundai's luxury division, Genesis, has introduced a range of intriguing vehicles in Europe. The Genesis GV60, the company's first entirely electric vehicle, creates a great first impression. The outside appearance is carefully designed but distinctive, and the interior is gorgeous to look at, well-designed, and of the highest caliber all around. The driving experience provides a good balance of performance (429 horsepower with 483 horsepower boost mode) and engagement, and the charging technology is quicker than that of competitors. The single motor 226bhp variant's claimed maximum WLTP range is 321 miles, while the highest-spec dual-motor rocket makes a claim of 290 miles. a cute strategy for standing out.

4. Kia EV6

Consider the Kia EV6 as a more affordable version of the Jaguar i-Pace since both vehicles have roomy interiors and excellent handling. It is one of the best electric SUVs currently available. But in terms of energy management and battery range, Hyundai-Kia is absolutely crushing the competition. In terms of delivering the real-world driving it promises, the EV6 is easily one of the best electric vehicles of all. The combination of the vehicle’s efficiency and its generous room on offer, the remarkable craftsmanship, and the enjoyable driving experience, Kia has created a true winner. Very strongly advised.

5. MG ZS EV

Don't worry if the expensive price of the more upscale electric SUVs described on this page above turns you off; there are still several excellent affordable choices. Consider the MG ZS EV. Yes, the interior fit and finish of some MG vehicles should be improved, but the brand's electric technology, which is now owned by China, is quite strong. The ZS EV can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.2 seconds, has a claimed range of 273 miles (which appears to match this in practice), and can conveniently occupy the needs of most families thanks to its sizable cabin and large boot. This is not a slow, short-range vehicle with limited practicality. As a result, this highly recommended SUV is priced at a true discount.

6. Mercedes Benz EQB

You can be sure to find more expensive, sexier-looking electric SUVs from Mercedes. However, the Mercedes-Benz EQB, however, excels at a specialized task. The EQB has accommodation for seven people inside despite being very small in size. The appearance isn't too bizarre, providing only a few telltale signs that this isn't your typical GLB, and the interior is the customary stunning Benz-blend of flashy contemporary looks and excellent functionality. Both 44 dual-motor variations have WLTP ranges of 253 miles and either 225 or 288 horsepower. Driving it is also a smooth and simple process.

7. Tesla Model X

Need room for seven people? Stylish Tesla badge? And the cutting-edge technology and modernism for which the company is renowned? Look no further, the Tesla Model X is an electric vehicle that is equal parts crossover and MPV. The interior is spacious for five people in the first two rows and is known for its ingeniously hinged gullwing back doors that can open even in the smallest of car park spaces. The rearmost third-row pair of seats are fine for children on short journeys. The quicker Plaid variant retails for a staggering £110,980, but it is costly, starting at £91k in the UK for a Model X Dual Motor.

8. BMW iX3

The BMW iX3 is a very capable vehicle that excels at all the fundamentals, while being undoubtedly the least glamorous of Munich's selection of electric automobiles. Although it doesn't have a lot of power (285 horsepower), it handles well, has plenty of space inside, and is economical enough to claim a driving range of 285 miles, thanks in part to some outstanding one-pedal regen technology. The Audi e-Tron and Volvo XC40 Recharge are more tempting options, but the i-Pace and EV6 highlighted above are probably the closest ones.

An Electric SUV is a perfect vehicle for a family. Not only because it has lesser parts compared to combustion engine vehicles and that it doesn’t need as much maintenance. An SUV also has a large space that accommodates more people and loads. Choose from these top rated Electric SUV, to enjoy the best of its advantages.
